Fun Fact: "48" is a nod to where Steak48 was born, in Arizona, the 48th state in the Union - Been here now 3x and have to write a review before I forget. There truly is something to be said when each time the service to food quality is consistent and spectacular. Contemporary new steakhouse, meets a dark, yet sexy and romantic upbeat vibe. Great for dates, business meetings, friends, celebrations, there is a spot in this restaurant for everyone - booths, tables, private areas. Service: on point every single time. From the friendly greeting at the front desk, to the knowledgeable staff regarding the menu and food specials, to the what feels like the right amount of check-ins. A huge shout out to the bussers who clean the tables between apps and meals, to grabbing multiple plates from a table, boxing them in the back, and then bringing them back to the rightful owner - IMPRESSED. The little details here matter, and really adds to the experience. Food: great selection of USDA Prime steaks, A5 Waygu, salads, seafood and raw bar, and sides. The SIDES! Definitely recommend the whipped potatoes, shells and cheese, au gratin potatoes and cream of spinach. Superb flavors in all of them. Dessert: A great selection of dessert. Hard to pass up when the food is good, you know dessert has to be just as good and has never disappointed. My favorite so far is the Triple Layer Key Lime Pie: fresh key lime - almond graham cracker crust - fresh whipped cream - lime "caviar." Plentiful selections from lighter like the key lime pie, sorbet and gelato to more savory and decadent like the peanut butter pie and Ultimate Warm Vanilla Caramel Cake. Parking: self parking available though limited by the restaurant. Valet for $10.

I think this place has the best Wagyu beef tartar so far. The last place I tried it at was at born and raised and it was not as satisfying to eat. Everything was great: Wagyu beef tartar, Crispy hasselback potato , Bone in filet mignon, 45 day dry aged bone in rib eye, Roasted brussel sprouts. They do warn you that the plate is 500f coming out. I grazed my arm on the plate and burned myself so definitely be careful. Drinks: Cucumber guava and BlackBerry bourbon both very good as well Our waitress offered me a black napkin and I didn't understand why until I used the white napkin. I felt bad I got lipstick on the white napkin. So now you know. They scrape the table cloth after they serve you bread and left no crumbs . Our table was impeccable the entire night which is unheard of for me. I'm not a fan of dark lighting in general because it makes me sleepy but I think all steak houses are dark.

Great spot. Went for the first time as a surprise for my bday. Service was great and the food was fabulous, words can not express how good it was. If looking for a great steak house look no future. Plenty of parking. Valet available. Suggest reservation.

I was setting up my friend, so I was the third wheel on this date lol. This spot had just opened, so I was excited to try it out! There were lobster, caviar, shrimp and oysters on display over ice when we were brought to our table. We had seating right next to the kitchen, so that was pretty cool! Complimentary bread rolls were given to us in a cast iron with butter and it was nice and fluffy! My mocktail was also very refreshing. For sides, we shared the creamy mac n cheese and the whipped praline sweet potato, based on our servers recommendations. The sides were great and so filling! I chose the bone-in filet for my steak and it was cooked perfectly. Since we shared this, they cut it in half for us. It wasn't enough, my guy friend gave me the he rest of his, since he was full. Of course we saved room for dessert! I wanted the beignet tree and the triple chocolate bomb! Both were so delicious! We also saw Russell Wilson across our table, but I didn't know who he was lol. Service was exceptional and I liked how they called me the next day to ask how everything was. Can't wait to go back and try some seafood next time!

What a great experience! The ambiance was comfortable, the staff just lovely, food excellent. Everything was just fabulous! We had a few apps to share: peppers, giant shrimp cocktail, hamachi, burrata. Apps went well with the huge martinis. Nice selection of wines as well. I had the branzino and fries. Incredible! I tasted the fillet. Amazing! I'll get that next time. We had beignets tree. Wow!

Came here with a pre-fix menu. The apps and steak were phenomenal. I got the ribeye and got to try my friends filet - which was also really good. The apps were alllllll great. I tried the potatoes, buratta, bread, corn, mushrooms, and Caesar salad. The dessert was ok, a little odd, would hope they change it up because my chocolate moose ball was hard to eat and not delish. Service was great and they helped me through ordering very kindly. Parking was rough - plan to valet.

Fancy banshee steakhouse in Del Mar area. Had some really amazing appetizers to begin with. The chicken fried lobster tails are out of this world good with a crunchy but light batter. The Wagyu steak tartar was so clean tasting, but could've used a little bit of salt and I wouldn't of mind if mine had a little bit more acid or I was just a little bit wetter. But it was tasty overall. The colossal shrimp cocktails were, aptly named and super fresh. I would've liked a little bit more horseradish they only give you a tiny bit for the cocktail sauce. The meatballs are insane. Meatballs are ginormous and they are moist and garlic. Did not even need the little bit of marinara that came with them. The hot skillet of yeasty rolls was pretty pretty good but I prefer sourdough bread. No hate though it was fine and it kept me from eating like 10. Of all the steaks that we got, I thought the winner of the night was the CapCut. I don't have a picture because the guy that ordered it sat across the table, but holy wow that was the most flavorful and delicious piece of meat. Hands-down winner of all of the steaks that we ordered. The sides we got the crème brûlée corn and the cream spinach. I asked when I ordered and I asked when I got my cream spinach for sides of lemon. 10 minutes later I asked again. And I got them another 10 minutes after that so I didn't really get to enjoy my spinach because it needed lemon and salt and by the time I got, my lemons, it wasn't hot anymore. But I do love the fact that I was only eating sides for my main because we had filled up on appetizers and the plate they brought me was so hot that was pretty cool. The crème brûlée corn was a 10/10 of fantastic recommended order. Would order another one of those in a heartbeat also For desserts, we got one of everything. I didn't get pictures of everything because of where it landed on the table, but the donuts were super cute and they had a nice chocolate and vanilla sauce. I think they were calling them beignets, but they were not airy enough to be beignets, but they had a really great mouth feel. The Keylime pie was massive and fluffy. I thought it was very good. We had to bring some home and it was even better the next day. Popcorn sundae was tasty but could've used more ice cream. It had a lot of accoutrement in it. We also ordered a red velvet cupcake type thing, but I didn't try cause I don't like red velvet but it was completely devoured. And we also got some thing that was like a chocolate bomb and it tasted basically like a massive Fierro Roche. They also gave us complementary teeny tiny little chocolate chip cookies that were homemade. Overall, it was a fancy experience and the dinner was really nice with great company. Be prepared to spend some serious dough.

Made a reservation for 6 at 6 PM on a Friday night. The parking lot is busy as a heads up. You can opt for valet parking if you can't find a spot. We checked in and were immediately seated. The restaurant is huge and the ambiance is so nice. When walking to our table, we passed by the oysters and dessert - it all looked so delicious. For appetizers, I highly recommend their oysters. The chicken fried lobsters are really good too. It's pricey but super worth it. Dinner does came with complimentary bread, which I found delicious and buttery. For entree, we ordered a bunch of different steaks. The tomahawk is probably my favorite. We also did the ribeye cap steak and wagyu. This was enough for us to share along with sides. You can't go wrong with the creamed spinach and baked potato. For dessert, highly recommend the chocolate bomb. It's sooo good and you can share. The service is always excellent here. They're very attentive and friendly. We'll be coming back again when we are in the area!
